LAB'START-UP aims to support entrepreneurs by offering them unique visibility and commercial experience before, during and after Forum LABO, the event for the entire laboratory profession, from both the public and private sectors.

Lab'Startup shines a light on innovation and entrepreneurship, both essential for driving the dynamism of the laboratory sector.

This program provides startups, young companies, SMEs, and project leaders with unique visibility and support during the Forum LABO.

Ten startups will be selected through the LAB'START-UP Challenge, organized with the support of CIFL members, scientific societies, and top-tier innovation partners.

Are you a start-up or a French SME behind an innovative project?

Promote your innovation and boost its development!

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS & SOLUTIONS

Projects or solutions must address one or more laboratory growth challenges:

  • Digitalization (connectivity, interoperability, big data management, predictive maintenance),
  • Technological performance (robotics, automation, artificial intelligence),
  • Safety (risk prevention),
  • Laboratory layout, ergonomics,
  • Sustainability, CSR, and more responsible practices.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The following criteria must be met to apply for the Lab'Startup program:

  • Major innovation,
  • For academic and private laboratories,
  • Less than five years old,
  • Predominantly French funding,
  • R&D and production facilities based in France,
  • Pre-industrialization and/or industrialization phase.
KEY DATES FOR THE CHALLENGE
  • Apply from November 7, 2025, to January 31, 2025.
  • February 14, 2025: Application deadline.
  • Announcement of the 10 winners in March 2025.
  • March 25, 2025: Announcement of the Winner of the French Startup Prize.
  • March 25, 26, 27, 2025: Meetings and appointments at the Lab'Start-up Space.

Finalist startups will receive a dedicated pod (valued at €4,500) within the LAB'START-UP area of Forum LABO Paris 2025 (with an opportunity to present their solution).

FRENCH STARTUP PRIZE
